The BDD Clinic of Iowa is proud to announce that our founder, Heather Morgan-Miller, ABD, LMFT, is the recipient of the 2017 Mental Health Champion Award. This award will be presented at the Iowa Mental Health Counselors Association (IMHCA) 2017 annual conference on May 4, 2017. This award is presented to a nominated Iowa mental health professional who shows exemplary dedication to the advocacy for individuals with mental health conditions, as well as furthering the field of mental health counseling through their individual and public professional efforts. Heather could not feel more honored to accept this award. It is her hope that accepting this award at IMHCA conference will further create a platform for BDD and help educate other mental health professionals about this disorder.
