GAY, MALE RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS NEEDED! Your participation may help to gain a better understanding of the lived experiences of gay men with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). BDD is a body image disorder in which the individual is preoccupied with the idea that one or more aspects of their physical appearance are deformed, defective, abnormal, or even hideous [American Psychological Association (APA), 2013]. The sufferer has a severely disturbed body image as these perceived flaws are not observable or appear insignificant to others.
We are looking for 8 individuals to interview, over the phone, for a qualitative study. If you are at least 18 years old, live in the U.S., are a gay male, and would like to participate please take this survey:
